WHAT TO EXPECT

When it comes to Amsterdam, the Red Light District and legalized substances may get the lion’s share of the headlines, but the city’s way more than that. It’s a masterwork of urban planning and architecture, a hive of culture and cuisine, a center of art and history, and a global leader in progressive thought.

Kick things off outdoors with your new friends on a luxury boat cruise through the canals before you cycle through the bike capital of the world. Spend your days diving into Dutch cheeses or sweet stroopwafels and your nights hitting up world-famous bars and clubs. Get lost in flea markets overflowing with antique goods, marvel at timeless architecture, and explore museums, quiet backstreets, and buzzing central squares with a group of brand-new friends.

If you’re after a quick solo travel escape to one of the most atmospheric cities on the planet or even a warm-up to a longer FTLO adventure, Amsterdam’s the culture trip for you.

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

day by day

Day 1

SALEM ALMATY!

Say hello to Almaty – the city of apples! Today’s the day you meet your tribe, and together, we’re going to dive into the vibes of this buzzing city. In the evening, we’re hitting up Kok Toebe (optional) for epic sunset views over the whole city. Let’s go!

Day 2

CANYONS, LAKES,
VALLEYS AND VILLAGES

Your journey kicks off from AlmatyOur first stop is the stunning Charyn Canyon, famously known as the Valley of the Castles. Get ready to walk about 1.5 km along the canyon floor, soaking in surreal landscapes and ending at the scenic Charyn River. From there, we’ll head to Saty village, where a warm, home-style lunch awaits at a local guesthouse — the perfect cultural pause. Post-lunch, we drive to the serene Kolsai Lake, surrounded by lush forests and mountains. As the day winds down, we settle in for a cozy night at a yurt camp or guesthouse. Dinner is served — along with fresh mountain air, bonfire, stars above, and good vibes all around.

Day 3

KAINDY DREAMS
AND CANYON SCENES

Rise, shine, and fuel up. Post breakfast we hit the road.
First stop: the surreal Kaindy Lake, famous for its eerie-beautiful sunken forest rising out of the water like a dream. You can hike around or go horseback riding (optional) — either way, you’ll be soaking up some serious nature magic.
We’ll circle back to Saty village for a laid-back homecooked lunch at a cozy guesthouse.
After lunch, we say goodbye to Kolsai Lakes National Park, but the journey isn’t over yet. On the way back to Almaty, we’ll make quick photo stops at the dramatic Black Canyon and the otherworldly Yellow (Moon) Canyon — both wildly Instagrammable and uniquely Kazakh.

Check out:Arbat Street – A lively pedestrian street lined with quirky art, shops, and cafes, Green Bazaar – Bustling market with fresh produce & local snacks, Ascension Cathedral – A stunning, all-wooden Russian Orthodox church in vibrant pastel colors, set in a peaceful park.
